3 OR 4 DAY BORDEAUX EXPERIENCE
DAY 1: ARRIVE AT YOUR CHÂTEAU
Your stay begins with a luxury transfer to your château, where you’ll be greeted with a fabulous lunch or a cake and crémant reception. Settle into your room and recalibrate strolling through the vines or relaxing poolside. Dinner, prepared by one of our excellent chefs, will probably be al fresco and doubtless include enjoying some fine wines.
DAY 2: DISCOVER ST ÉMILION
Above the Dordogne valley is this World famous limestone plateau & wine appellation. Enjoy wine tours at the châteaux, see how it’s made and enter the subterranean galleries where the wine is stored & you can taste it! Stroll through the UNESCO mediéval village and enjoy lunch/dinner in a fabulous location with views across the vines.
DAY 3: EXPLORE BORDEAUX & COOK!
Meet the chef at the famous Capucins market and choose your ingredients together before going back to a Bordeaux loft kitchen for a cooking class and lunch. In the afternoon, take a tour and see for yourself why Lonely Planet said it was World #1 City in 2017. In the evening return to your château for a relaxed dinner and to watch the sun go down.
DAY 4: BAY OF ARCACHON (OPTIONAL)
Climb Europe’s highest sand dune for spectacular views of the ocean & bay. Enjoy a picnic lunch on top of the dune. In the afternoon take a tour of the bay on your own private pinasse/traditional boat. Sample the freshest seafood and explore the magical UNESCO fishing villages. Have dinner at a fabulous restaurant with amazing views of the bay.
DAY 4 OR 5: AU REVOIR
Unfortunately it’s time to leave, but you’ll have memories to last a lifetime. All the arrangements will be made for you by Château Living and as our service is fully bespoke, we can offer other suggestions or alternatives should you wish.
7 DAY BORDEAUX EXPERIENCE
SATURDAY: ARRIVE AT YOUR CHÂTEAU
Your home for the week is a classic fairytale castle, in the renowned Entre deux Mers wine region. Built in the C18th as a country retreat from bourgeois Bordeaux, the château has extensive private grounds, forest trails and 5 hectares of vines. An ideal venue to experience ‘La Vie de Château’ combining the refinements of the past & present.
SUNDAY: MARKET & LAZY BBQ LUNCH
Spend the morning exploring a local market and find some amazing produce to be prepared for you at a lazy lunch back at the château. Hang out by the pool in the afternoon sun. Take an evening stroll through the vines and enjoy an aperitif and a platter of local fare. As the sun sets, sit by the fire pit until dark then lay back and gaze at the stars.
MONDAY: HORSE & CARRIAGE WINE TOUR
After a delicious signature breakfast, you may depart on a cycle trail through delightful countryside to a château for a wine tour and picnic prepared for you in the grounds. You’ll return by horse and carriage, a magical way to arrive back at your château. Here you can unwind by the pool while a French chef prepares dinner for you.
TUESDAY: DISCOVER ST ÉMILION
Across the Dordogne valley is the World famous limestone plateau of St Émilion. Take a wine tour and visit the underground galleries where the wine is stored. Enjoy lunch on a roof top terrace and explore the UNESCO mediéval village. Finish the day with a flight in a hot-air balloon floating across the vines with champagne & a picnic at sunset.
WEDNESDAY: WINE SPA & CYCLE TOUR DAY
In the morning Vineotherapy - a unique experience - massages and health treatments using grapes & the vines! Relax in the pools and enjoy a country bistro lunch. Take a cycle through the vines for a tour and tasting at a renowned château. Unwind before ending the day with a meal in a lakeside 2* Michelin restaurant.

11 DAY ULTIMATE BORDEAUX EXPERIENCE
DAY 1: ARRIVE AT YOUR CHÂTEAU
Your home for the first week is a superbly renovated wine making château in Canon-Fronsac, created above the chais & cellars. It is situated on a hilltop among the vines with stunning views to the Dordogne river, Libourne and St Émilion. Settle in and enjoy a casual arrival meal & wine from your château watching the sunset across the valley.
DAY 2: HORSE & CARRIAGE WINE TOUR
After a delicious breakfast on your terrace, you’ll depart by horse & carriage for a wine tour and picnic in the Fronsac appellation. In the afternoon you’ll have a chance to drive the horses yourself on the green lanes between the vines. Return to your château & unwind by the pool while a French chef prepares dinner for you.

Perhaps you’d like to take a vintage canoe and meander down the river, enjoying a picnic en route and take it easy. Maybe in the afternoon explore some more of the fabulous countryside, scenery and vineyards by horse and carriage. Enjoy another fabulous dinner prepared for you back at your château.
DAY 8: BAY OF ARCACHON
A change of scenery. For the second half of your stay you move from château to coast to enjoy the delights of the bay and ocean. After a leisurely 1.5 hr drive, lunch and relax by the pool. Stay in a first class private suite with ocean front views. Take an evening cruise across the bay to an exceptional seafood restaurant with this view.
DAY 9: DUNE DE PYLA
Climb Europe’s highest sand dune for spectacular views of the ocean & bay. Enjoy a picnic lunch on top of the dune and if you're feeling adventurous try paragliding or take to the water sailing. In the evening, relax back at your hotel, enjoy a wonderful meal with a fantastic view of the bay.
DAY 10: PINASSE TOUR
One of the best ways to enjoy the bay is on a traditional pinasse. Yours for the day, this chartered vessel will take you to explore the islands and villages of the bay. With lunch and beach stops as you please, take some time out on the water. In the evening you can enjoy dinner on your waterfront terrace, then stroll on the beach before retiring.
DAY 11: AU REVOIR
